Youth Minister Hon. Emmalin Pierre says the model, which has been in development over the last 18 months, is now complete and the Ministries of Legal Affairs and Youth will work to have it enacted in Parliament.
“I believe it would be the first in the Caribbean,” said Minister Pierre.
“We would also see a Youth Parliament set up by law that would facilitate young people’s involvement, in a very serious way, in the National Development process”.
The proposal will also set the standard for the appointment of Youth Ambassadors.
Minister Pierre says Grenada will also move to have an Act of Parliament that deals with the establishment of a National Youth Council.
