The Victoria Park will come alive on Wednesday 26th October, as students and teachers gather to join in activities to celebrate this country’s 37th Anniversary of Independence.
Ms. Marla Nanton, Education Officer with responsibility for Media and Communications, said that the rally was introduced in the 1980’s and the Music Department in the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation & Ecclesiastical Affairs was responsible for the organisation of the rally. The event has maintained its format over the years.
Ms. Nanton also said that one of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of the 2016 National Scholarship Awards.
